Who is this event for?

Each and every one of us has encountered the question, “Who do you want to be when you grow up?” at least once in our lives. In childhood, this inquiry carries little weight, devoid of consequences. However, as we mature, it evolves into a contemplation of passion and direction, often leaving us seeking for clarity. Suddenly, the once straightforward response becomes clouded with ambiguity. As Emilie writes in her book ‘How To Be Everything’, one of the reasons why this question has the ability to wreak havoc in our hearts is its implicit suggestion that we must choose a singular path. However, we at Women Who Get It are here to bring ease to this nerve wrecking fenomen.

If you find it challenging to fit into the mold of selecting a singular “true path,” it may very well be that you are simply a multi-passionate individual. This title describes an individual pursuing various endeavors, constantly seeking out new and exciting ventures. Such people may find themselves engaged in a multitude of projects simultaneously, each one fueling their passion and creativity in its own unique way. And, contrary to popular belief, there are more individuals like this than one might imagine.

For this reason, we are continuing to embark on our in-person literary journey in NYC on July  10th to shine a spotlight on the multi-faceted women who have chosen to embrace the versatility in their careers or personal life, similar to our event held in Madrid (Spain) earlier last month.

This event offers an opportunity for women to connect and interact with a panel of multifaceted individuals, including entrepreneurs and life- and career coaches, who will share their personal experiences navigating diverse interests. Throughout our gathering, we will delve into the challenges and triumphs associated with embracing a multi-passionate lifestyle. Central to our discussions will be the book ‘How to be everything’ authored by Emilie Wapnick, which will serve as a guiding framework for our discussions.

PS: the discussion will be created in a way that allows everyone to join in, regardless of whether you have been able to finish reading the book or not. The goal is knowledge-sharing and supporting each other to find comfort in being a multi-faceted woman.

What to expect?
  • Engaging Discussions: Engage in thought-provoking discussions led by certified coaches, trailblazers in the industry and Women Who Get It – Literary Club co-founder. Share your insights, perspectives and favorite takeaways from the books.
  • Sip and Snack: Enjoy complimentary drinks, beverages and light bites as we embark on a literary journey together.
  • Capturing the Moment: We will be joined by a photographer who will capture the evening and the photos will be shared with all participants after the event.
  • Connect and Network: Build connections with like-minded women with a strong passion for self-development. Exchange reading recommendations, author insights and more.
  • Cheat Sheet: if you have not yet read the book but are curious about the topic, not to worry. Prior to the event we will share a cheat sheet that contains the most important takeaways from the book that could help you prepare for the event. However, the panel discussion is set up in a way that allows everyone to join in!

We are excited to meet you on July 10th at the Annex in the heart of Williamsburg where we will gather to celebrate our unique superpowers and inspire one another to fully embrace our versatility!
