Join us for “Empowered Love: Maintaining One-Self During Romantic Relationships” an intimate evening during which we dive into the delicate balance of loving others while loving yourself. In today’s society, women often feel the pressure to prioritize their partners’ needs at the expense of their own. This gathering explores how self-love, boundary-setting, and effective communication are not just desirable but essential for maintaining a healthy, fulfilling relationship.
Through a guided discussion of Toni Tone’s book, “I Wish I Knew This Earlier: Lessons on Love” we will explore practical advice on cultivating self-respect and resilience without sacrificing your individuality. Our session will be guided by Eniola Adeyemo, PhD student in Psychosocial Studies, an Anthropology professor at NYU Madrid and a content creator. and a accredited clinical psychologist, Carmen Cecilia Rodríguez, who will share insights and strategies on how to love wholeheartedly while preserving your unique identity. Unlike previous panel discussions, this event will emphasize interactive engagement, fostering a supportive and safe space for all attendees to share their thoughts and stories, regardless of their sexuality, to share and connect openly.
PS: the discussion will be created in a way that allows everyone to join in, regardless of whether you have been able to finish reading the book or not. The goal is knowledge-sharing and supporting each other to find comfort in being a multi-faceted woman. Please note that the event is in English.
